He then entered the financial services industry and became a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), working with families to chart paths to financially rewarding retirements. As he encountered more and more younger families facing the dilemma of how to pay for ever-rising college costs for their children, yet stay on track to fulfill their retirement goals, he searched for college-specific financial strategies. Toward that end he obtained the Certified College Planning Specialist(CCPS) certification. He creates customized funding strategies designed to help parents afford to send their students to the appropriate college, without risk to their own retirement plans.
Although Brian Mark left academia, academia never left him. He enjoys working with families of college-bound students and helping students find the right college fit for them. He has helped hundreds of families find good solutions to their college planning needs.
